| ABSTRACT Nursery trees of stone fruits (Prunus spp.) are traditionally produced by union of two distinct genotypes - the rootstock and the scion - which, by grafting, form a composite plant that will be maintained throughout of all plant life. In Brazil, the rootstocks are predominantly seed propagated and therefore usually results in heterogeneous trees for vigor and edaphic adaptation. However, with advances in rootstock breeding programs that released cultivars and certification in several countries (notably in Europe), the system will come gradually evolving for vegetative propagation (cuttings and tissue culture) and use of seeds of selected rootstocks with specific characteristics and potted nursery trees production. | ABSTRACT In recent years, platycarpa peaches have reached high prices due to their good acceptance in the international market. However, the great majority of the released varieties are high chill and do not adapt to Brazilian conditions except on a few microclimes of high altitudes. The cultivar BRS Mandinho is the first peach cultivar of the botanical variety platicarpa, released in Brazil and adapted to subtropical conditions. The plants are vigorous and, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the blooming occurs on the second half of July. The fruits are sweet and ripe in November with an average weight of 55.3 g. |

| O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o uso de concentrações de ácido indol-3-butírico (AIB) na estaquia lenhosa de cultivares de porta-enxertos de videira promissores para o Sul do Brasil. Material vegetal de porta-enxertos de videira foi coletado de plantas- matrizes pertencentes à coleção da Estação Experimental da EPAGRI, no município de Videira - SC. O experimento foi conduzido em casa de vegetação no período de julho a outubro de 2013. O delineamento experimental foi o inteiramente casualizado, com 20 tratamentos, dispostos em esquema fatorial 4x5, formado por quatro porta-enxertos (VR043-43, Dogridge, Richter 99 e EEV793-5) e cinco concentrações de AIB (0; 1.000; 2.000; 3.000 e 4.000 mg L-1).
